Winter ascents of Mt. Fuji are fraught with danger. Winds over 100 miles/hour and chills down to -40C and below. A slip leaves you with a single chance to self arrest, before you quickly reach speeds that can only result in sorrow. Every year there are those who answer the call, and every year there are those who do not return. However, on that edge, where skill, preparation, risk, and luck all intersect, there is something that keeps calling you back.

Inspired by that intangible feeling, and in respect of the mountain, we named this piece Mt. Fuji - Winter Ascent. Like the mountain, this piece posed a significant technical challenge. We decided to embroider in two locations, center chest, and on the exterior of the hoodie pocket. However, we succeeded and the results speak for themselves.
