Under the darkness of a new moon, two men pass in the night. Their actions appear innocuous, but, shrouded by the shadows, one hands a length of bamboo to the other. Their parting is quick and the night is still once again. Only the stars bear witness to their resolve. Contained within the bamboo is a scrap of mulberry paper. The precise and violent brush strokes upon it depict Himeji Castle along with external routes of infiltration and egress. A lone window is circled with a red brush stroke. The mission objective resides within.
