A quiet stillness envelops the landscape, uniformly covered with undisturbed snow. As the light of the moon reflects off this surface, an odd ambient brightness thrives. Enough to make sense of your surroundings, but not quite enough to ward away the darkness of night. The air is crisp and your breath is just barely visible in the glow. Your exposed skin stings in the cold but you trudge on, one firmly placed step after the other, each with a crunch as it penetrates the top layer of snow. You're thankful for the sturdy boots that adorn your feet as you continue to make your way, venturing through what seems to be the unknown. When you are gone, only your firm footprints remain to tell of your travels. However, those too will be filled in or melted away with time. But, in the moments before this occurs, these memories of your travels are frozen, preserved in the snow.

Inspired by these moments, we named this piece, Memories of Snow. The footsteps traveling across this design embody these frozen memories. Utilizing three dimensional foam in the embroidery, we were able to recreate footprints in a way that has never been seen before in this medium.
